IAT Hook DetectionThe Import Address Table (IAT) of a PE file contains the addresses of imported functions. When a process loads, the loader resolves these addresses by looking up each imported function in the exporting DLL and writing the function’s address into the IAT. An IAT hook overwrites one of these entries with a pointer to attacker-controlled code.
